Confidence Without Proof Brings Success – What I Learned Today

Posted on 2025-09-172025-11-11 By Misaki Fujimoto

The Cycle of Confidence: From “I Can Do This” to Real Skill.

My Thoughts From Today’s Article

Today I read a very interesting article. The topic was “confidence without proof brings success.” At first, I thought “no way.” But as I read more, I understood it very well.

The Science of Confidence

Scientist Ian Robertson studied confidence. He found that when we have confidence, our brain works better. We feel good. We worry less. We think more clearly. This was surprising to me. So confidence does not come from skill. Skill comes from confidence.

It works like money in a bank. Small success grows bigger and bigger. In my farm work, I see this too. When I think “this year will be good,” my work is better. When I worry “will this work well?” my results are not so good.

Easy Ways to Practice

The article showed three simple ways:

1. Think worry means success is coming
“I worry, so something good will happen.” This is a new way to think. Before, I thought worry was bad. Maybe worry means I am growing.

2. Say “I am excited” to yourself
Worry and excitement feel the same. When I try new plants, I feel nervous. I can say “I am excited” instead.

3. Say “it is OK” when things go wrong
Learn from mistakes. Do not stay sad. In farming, weather changes everything. This thinking helps a lot.

My Experience

I think about when I started my farm. I had “confidence without proof” then. I did not have much experience. I did not know if I would succeed. But I believed “I can do this.” This feeling made me start.

Step by step, I had small successes. Now I have real skills and knowledge. This is exactly what the article explained. Small confidence became big confidence.

How I Will Use This

I want to use “confidence without proof” for new things:

  • When I try new plants
  • When I sell in new ways
  • When I use digital marketing

I will not think “I do not have experience” or “I do not know enough.” Instead, I will think “I can do this” and “this will work well.”

What I Learned Today

“Can do” or “cannot do” depends on how we think. What we believe is more important than what we can do. We do not need to worry too much.

From tomorrow, when I worry, I will say “this means success is coming” and “I am excited!” When I make mistakes, I will say “it is OK” and try again quickly.

Confidence without proof will become real confidence. I believe this cycle. I will start with what I can do now.
